Dry season 2016: a long walk on the ‘dry side’ of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area, where the Main Coast Range behind Mossman falls to the west into the Mitchell River catchment. A huge range of altitude delivered upland rainforest, massive kauris and turpentines to native pines, dry savanna, gorgeous creeks and granite tors. Our nine-day circuit took in parts of three national parks: Mount Lewis, Mount Spurgeon and Daintree.
