In recent months I have responded to three significant requests for images.
First up the prestigious Australian Geographic magazine commissioned me to photograph a major feature article about Wollemi National Park in the northern Blue Mountains. The article with my images can be seen in the current issue (No. 119, March-April 2014). Here’s one they didn’t publish:
Then an accomplished Sydney installation artist asked to use one of my photographs of Blue Gum Forest as the basis for a huge painting commissioned by Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney for their Clinical Services building. This was Morning Light, Blue Gum Forest.
Most recently, I returned in March from a mountain walking trip in the New Zealand Alps (see upcoming post) to find out that Woolworths were keen to use a number of my Blue Mountains nature images at large scale in the lobby of their new complex in Katoomba. I think they came out pretty well and hopefully this is another ‘mainstream’ promotion of the natural values of the area. You can check them out next time you’re on the travelator there.
